Some people say that a Realtor doesn’t make much of a difference now that the Web provides access to so much real estate information. Well, if a realtor only facilitates the paperwork-intensive process of buying or selling property, that’s a valuable service in its own right. However, you have a right to expect more, and that’s a problem.

It’s a problem because Realtors throw the same pitch: the promise of outstanding service; smooth closes; and, the ever popular, “I’ve been a Realtor, forever.”

Another way to frame your problem is this: since everyone promises the same thing, whose promise is best? Since there’s no satisfactory way to answer that question, you might as well hire your aunt Molly or your cousin Charlie to represent you. That, of course, is a problem for me since I am neither your aunt Molly nor your cousin Charlie. On the other hand, I bring some very special knowledge to the table and it falls into four categories.




The first is market knowledge. I developed a process of MLS data analysis called Hyperlocal Market Analysis. You can find out more about it at www.wessex-homes.com (or you can Google ‘Hyperlocal Market Analysis’), but the elevator pitch is that it analyzes the flow of time, money and inventory in order to find better deals for both buyers and sellers.

Second, I was a real estate investor and rehab developer. I bought, rehabbed and sold formerly distressed houses. When, day after day, your own money is on the line, you learn a lot about the real estate business.

Third, I’ve lived in north Jersey all my life. I’ve lived in Wood Ridge, Belleville, Nutley, Glen Ridge, East Orange, Montclair, North Bergen and the Caldwells.

Lastly, a lifetime in marketing and sales has taught me a few things about service, the importance of listening, the power of negotiation, and the joy of winning.

In short, I bring a lot to the table, and I want to sit at that table with you.
